Thursday, May 07, 2015Macallum Connoisseurs,位於檳城的Gat Lebuh Macallum (五條路),建築物和招牌都很顯眼,不怕會錯過。
上個週末和他去了一家蠻特別的咖啡館,Macallum Connoisseurs,建築物的前身是貨艙,然後改造成咖啡館。特別的是這家除了是咖啡館,還設有咖啡教學班。
咖啡館外還有附屬的停車位,其實蠻方便的,唯一美中不足是停車位置不多。

據傳這裡有一道主菜,Smokey Duck Breast是必點,垂涎三尺難以忘懷的美食。當然,我們也是聞名而來。

咖啡館的空間還蠻寬敞的,座位擺設並不會擁擠,整體上還不錯,只是畢竟是貨艙回音還蠻重的,尤其是吹風機的吵雜聲。

桌上有標著號碼的罐子,用來作為桌號,去櫃檯下單時只需根據罐子上的號碼,告知服務員,付款後,他們會把食物端上桌。

咖啡癮發作,其實答應了自己要戒掉咖啡,可惜頭痛時就想要借用咖啡,來減低疼痛。問了身邊的男友,點了一杯比較溫和flat white,至於主食,看著餐單猶豫了許久,哪像他是為了Smokey Duck Breast前往,沒有選擇困難。
猶豫了一段時間後,點了Bacon Bagel為我的午餐。

這個培根貝果,能選擇牛肉/雞肉/火雞培根,我選的是火雞。
貝果佐以香醋敷料(Balsamic Dressing) 和 火雞培根 (Turkey Bacon),配料有紫甘藍 (Purple Cabbage),櫻桃番茄 (Cherry Tomatoes) 和苦葉生菜 (Rocket Leaves)。
貝果外殼鬆脆而內部則充滿嚼勁,個人覺得balsamic dressing有點微酸。

煙熏鴨胸就是他聞名前來Macallum Connoisseurs的原因,當然是名不虛傳,非常還吃。服務員端上桌,看到煙熏鴨胸分量,對於女生而言還蠻大份的。
想像中的鴨胸,肉質一定很粉不好吃,但這個顛覆了我對鴨胸的看法。紅酒烹調的鴨胸肉很嫩,香濃的鴨汁封鎖在肉內。鴨胸肉厚實又多汁,真的很好吃。Trust me, is finger licking good, definitely worth the price.
